Bio

Francesca King grew up in Naarm (Melbourne). She graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Contemporary Dance. During her time at WAAPA she had the opportunity to perform works by choreographers Jenni Large, and Sam Coren. She also appeared in student dance films which developed her understanding of performance for the screen and learnt repertoire from renowned choreographer 'Pina Bausch', which developed her performance skills in the realm of Dance Theatre. In 2024 Francesca completed a graduate cultural exchange year and lived in Brooklyn, New York where she worked with project based dance company ‘Kelley Donovan and Dancers’, performing ‘Transfigured Ground’ in both New York and Boston. Prior to attending WAAPA, Francesca attended Utassy Ballet School (2011 - 2020) where she studied ballet and completed the Royal Academy of Dance Examination Syllabus (Advanced 1). She also studied Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish and Irish Dancing. Francescas acting experience includes appearing as a background cheerleader in 'The Diver' (2025), appearing in Melbourne Band 'Charm of Finches' music video 'Lies' (2018) and playing Rosalind in Collingwood College's 'As you Like it' (2016). Francesca studied violin from 2011 to 2020 and has begun singing training in 2025.
